Two Thirds Sky
Svadebka 2007
"A surging re-interpretation of Stravinsky’s Svadebka (Little Wedding). This work traces the rise of internet relationships between Russian women and Western men, seen through the story of one woman’s experiences. The music provides a percussive backdrop to this visually arresting piece, which brings together both video and choreography."

Svadebka (2007)
Originally conceived as an entry to the Place Prize, Two Thirds Sky's second publicly performed work was a creative journey that took the artistic director and video designer Gareth Risdale to Moscow in search of images that were composited to create the dynamic scenography that framed the works’ narrative. Everything other than the figures in the video backdrop was made from hundreds of animated still images.
